Registration Rules

1.      Registration for Mud Jam Competition occurs at the High Lifter Information tent located beside the Mud Nationals Retail Store

2.      ATVs or UTVs sponsored by any audio company is not permitted to compete.  They may do an exhibition after all competitors have competed.

3.      Registration will end at 10 am on Saturday, March 25th, 2017.

4.      Competition will occur in front of the Audio Formz display booth in the Oasis Vendor area.

5.      Competitors must be set-up and staged by 10:45 am on Saturday.

6.      Competition will begin at 11 am.


General Rules

1.      There is one class this year - ATVs and UTVs will compete together.  There will be a First Place, Second Place and Third Place awared based on the volume of your system.

2.      Competitors will have 30 seconds to play any portion of a song of their choice during competition to earn maximum score.

3.      UTV or ATV must drive on its own power into the sound measuring area.

4.      Battery chargers, power supplies or generators may not be used during judging.

5.      All amplifiers, speakers, batteries, and other stereo components must be mounted on the machine.  Only exception is the head unit or other signal source.

6.      UTV or ATV must not be running during judging.

7.      UTV or ATV may be facing any direction behind the line.

8.      Two measurements will be taken at the same time and averaged together. One measurement 10ft from vehicle. the other from the top of the steering wheel.

9.      Sound meter will be measuring decibels in the 30-130hz range fast response "C" scale.

10.    Winner will be based on the maximum averaged measurement.

11.    Prizes: 1st Place wins $500, 2nd wins $350 and 3rd place wins $150.
